PS...if you listen to the recording, you will hear them discuss how they think this is mostly about the 2012 elections and getting rid of Obama and any Dems, by breaking the unions, and weakening them.

There is a strong recall effort already goin on to recall the offending repubs.

So far so good Gen, but there was a clip of a disabled vet being dragged from the building much faster than he was obviously able to keep up.

Well, it is not the end but the beginning. There is a lot of protest being organized across the state and dammit if I didn't have weeks of unbreakable commitments booked so I couldn't attend one yet. I am free of the most confining of them, finally...and can actually look forward to actively participating.

I'm off to find footage of the Tractorcade today at the Wi. capitol, where thousands came from all over in bitter weather to fight, and closer to home in Washburn in support of the teachers.

If I was a teacher I would be looking for a job anywhere else doing something different for a living. Teachers, at this rate, will probably end up working for a private company earning not much more than minimum wage (and be told they are lucky to have a job at all) while the company doubles the price and is probably owned by the Koch Brothers or something as sinister.

The police and firemen and women are indeed union. They are protected under a clause to not be affected by these actions and if you haven't seen footage, you will see them in the crowds protesting with the rest. In reports coming from within the Capitol last week, the troopers were sent in to remove protesters, but said they weren't going to do it and just stood there in solidarity. But yes, I think it is going to start to get ugly. Soon. All of this in the state where the AFL-CIO was born.

Despicable.

The recall effort is strong against both walker and the 8 rebubthug senators. There were between 280,00-300,000 people in Madison on Saturday and they are calling for an even bigger turn out for this coming Saturday!

The police and firemen where deliberately exempted from the governor's actions because the governor knew that had they not been exempted the addition of the firemen and police to the protests would have shut the state down.

The firemen and police understanding this helped the protestors as much as they could and I believe I read that the firemen opened the firehouses to people coming in from out of state to participate in the protests.

This is an uphill struggle for the survival of the unions in the country because the people of the country have had their minds poisoned by the anti-union rhetoric coming from the corporations and the right wing corporate media .

One sure way to recognize someone who is out to brainwash the public is when you hear them use the phrase &quot;union bosses&quot; .
As soon as you hear that phrase you need to think &quot;he/she is lying&quot; and then listen to what they say and learn to recognize the anti-worker bias in the rest of what they have to say. It is a sure thing that you will hear a lot of that sort of thing as it is a war the corporations have been fighting and winning for over 50 years to knock down workers rights and enrich themselves to the tune of a trillion dollars over the last 30 years at the expense of the living standards of the working poor and middle class.
