No the thread stated who started the Atlanic slave trade.. Spain and Portuagal were the first powers of tthe colonial era,, they initially restricted trade with their colonies to their own Carvels.. Jews were restricted by law preventing them from acting in trade.. what can be argued is did they finance it... ???? But then so did the Swiss, the Lomardies, ecter.. even the recently kicked out Moors... Who we are told were black...

The first voage there were Tainos kidnapped and sent to spain.. one legend is that a boat of Tainos crashed on Finnestre in Spain and the Tainos went in land and formed villages in the hills of Galicia...

The inter island slave trade predated the African slave trade.. with Tainos from the lesser antilles being captured and sent to Hispanols.. Ponce De Leon a Conquistadore who made a fortune out of supply Bammy to ships returning to the old world went on &quot;black legging missions&quot; to use an australian term.. Though his fame has more to do search for the Fountain of youth in of all places the everglades... Cortez had a number of Tainos from Cuba on his ships.. I personally suspect that La Chigada Malinche was one... A slave she was...

But that doenst matter history doesnt concern unless it seen from a singular perspective...
