I dont believe this at all,in my opinion the rut started with the call for equality,and women,s insistence on abandoning their traditional roles in favour of earning their own money.

was a time when a woman job in the Armed Forces was a nurse. now there on the frontlines.

but then, in WW2 women went to work in factories while the men went overseas

Women are not as strong as men but there are more jobs that do not require men's musculature than there are heavy labor types of work.

Women can and should do what is fulfilling to them and not what men decide they should do with their lives.

Yeah,the second world war had something to do with it too,with the men out fighting and the women at home on the assembly line pretty soon it became clear that they too could contribute to society without being at home raising kids and cleaning houses,it gave women a new independence.

JC,I am not advocating a return to the bad old days of womens subservience,but neither do I believe that womens traditional roles are dictated by men,..it is all a matter of what works for a more harmonious society,...lets face it mate,the present model that has been adopted is not working.

What we currently have are a whole new generation who have not been brought up respecting adults,the discipline and respect is no longer there.

I dont know about canada or the US but the situation is pretty depressing here,kids as young as 10 or 12 will tell you bout your parts,and the language they use would make a fish wife blush.
