The lesson here is less cosmic and more earthly.
Japan would be one of the few nations that I would entrust dealing with this crisis. And yet they still are struggling with it and asked for foreign help.

There are about 45 countries right now seeking to go nuclear and looking at the list I wouldn't trust half of them to be competent to deal with it. Surely if a meltdown occurred some of them would try to hide it and not seek help. We would find out about the leak long after it's too late for the people to protect themselves.

to me it's cosmic...

it says trust not in men-
they lied to the japanese people telling them nearly no radiation got out...

they will lie to the bitter end;
japan did a lot of wickedness during the early 20th century, especially in china (rape of nanking &amp; other atrocities)...
they have built up this economic &amp; technological powerhouse...but this shows it can only go so far...
until humanity changes our way of thinking &amp; heeds lessons like this we will continue down the narrow path of destruction of our sacred planet...
but hard-headed humans will challenge &quot;god&quot; to the bitter end...
to our own peril
