but who know why it name cow itch? is there any proof that it itch cow?

Yes some cowitch once catch me.
ITCH ITCH ITCH and the next day a whole series of what looked like flea bites stretched across the affected area. Better than cedar though.

Lesson learned: Don't walk barefoot or in sandals through the bush.
