I don't have a problem with 'dreads' because afro-textured hair naturally 'congregates' into families of coils or 'locks' if not shaved low, 'picked out' into an afro, or braided.
Sometimes I wonder if having hair strands that insist on growing together is meant as a symbolic lesson for black people that we're not heeding.

I'm neutral about earrings because fondness of jewelry may just be ancestral memory talking.
And the colour of most precious stones/metals complements dark skin colour.

Tattoos however, are ridiculous on black people, IMO.
I'm not particularly fond of them generally, but at least they dont look like something that needs to be washed off when they're done on people with fair skin.
