A three-member team from the Florida Department of Education will arrive Monday at the Broward School District and begin reviewing records and interviewing staff.
Their arrival comes after Education Commissioner Eric Smith said he wasn't convinced by Broward's plan to "restore the public's trust" after a highly critical grand jury report.
Two staffers from the Inspector General's Office and one from the facilities office will stay until the end of the week, a department spokeswoman said Thursday.
Their mission: to help Smith decide whether a full-fledged inquiry is needed.
