Military spending is the worst and least productive way to help an economy. The bombs, planes and other things used in war are made used and are gone.
Things like automobiles are made and continually used and then need gas, repairs, tires, cleaning and whole industries arise form that sort of production.
The only ones who benefit from arms production are those who own the production facilities.
