Staff members at the Total service station in Half-Way Tree were in panic mode yesterday after a man and a woman held up a female cashier at gun-point, robbing her of an estimated $1.5 million in cash.
An employee who watched the incident on tape when she turn up for work around 7:40 a.m. said the two robbers entered the outlet and purchased items. After receiving the items, the two remained in the outlet under the guise that they were seeking other items for purchase.
"Them wait until she opened the safe (safety vault) and when she took out the bag a money fi carry inside the office, the woman pull the gun out of her bag and pass it to the man. The man then point the gun on her and tell her to leave the bag," the worker who requested anonymity told THE STAR.

According to her, her colleague was in the process of completing her shift when she was held up. "The woman walk out first and leave the man, then shortly after him run out and jump on his bike," she revealed.
She said a male pump attendant after realising what was taking place, attempted to accost the robber who pointed the gun at him. "Him point the gun at him and the clip drop out, then him ride off and left the clip same place," she said.
Staff members described the two robbers as being in their early 40s. The female was further described as a plus- size "woman with bleach out face", and the man is said to walk with a limp.
