MAN OUTS CIGARETTE IN OLDER LOVER'S FACE

Residents of an inner-city community in Spanish Town, St Catherine, watched recently as a 21-year-old man, who was in a confrontation with his middle-aged woman, put out a cigarette in her face as a way of punishing her.
The incident, which occurred on Saturday about 10 p.m., has become a topical issue for a number of residents.

It is said that the woman, who lives in the community, got into an argument with her lover who was seeing a younger woman. She then approached and accused him of giving her 'bun' with the girl.
"The youth, who could be her young son, did not like how she a loud up the ting and used the cigarette to calm her," a woman who saw the incident told THE STAR.
Another resident in recounting the incident said that: "Him just walk up to her and out the cigarette in her face. She grab on the spot (where she was burned) and look fi stone fi lick har young bwoy," a resident said.
By this time a crowd of curious onlookers had gathered, the youth left the scene. The burnt lover, who was crest-fallen, walked with her head held low.
"A young bwoy dem want, so a young bwoy treatment dem get. A pure young bwoy she deh wid from mi know har," the resident said.
The residents claimed that they hoped that the woman who is believed to be 46 years old would have learnt a vital lesson from the confrontation with the young man.
When contacted by THE STAR the Spanish Town police said that they were made aware of the incident, however, no formal report was made.
