West Vancouver police say it may be some time before the public learns why a Prince George RCMP officer used a stun gun on an 11-year-old boy last week.

The West Vancouver Police Department has been called in to investigate Thursday's Tasering after Prince George RCMP responded to an emergency call.

"Our chief constable has made this investigation the top priority of his department," WVPD Sgt. Paul Skelton told The Province on Monday. "Our goal is to determine whether the RCMP officer was justified in using this level of force."

Officers at the scene found a 37-year-old man suffering from stab wounds that he said were caused by the boy. Officers located the child at a nearby home, where he was Tasered.

The boy was taken to hospital but did not suffer physical injuries, Skelton said.

Detectives from West Vancouver began their investigation Sunday and expect to wrap up this afternoon.

Skelton said the detectives will also review the RCMP's policy on Tasers, as well as the RCMP officer's record and Taser training.

Sometimes you wonder how kids get to that place? and the reason why they act that way and I remember why I acted the way I did and all the licks with the wooden spoon never did a thing to curtail my behaviour. I am telling you though if I was tasered or pepper sprayed it would have made me even more resentful.....probably would have found a way to expire all a dem baxide

With the exception of peeps that are born evil....and yes some have a brain disorder for want of a better word.....you first have to get to why they act the way they do. I have a nine year old cousin and his parents are already afraid of him. He though is deathly afraid of my Mom.....they just have to say we are telling Auntie Diane and he starts begging them not to he will be good.....they parents feel boys will be boys and he will grow out of it.

We think he is a mini sociopath....his parents are scared to leave the baby with him

there was a case i was reading about a kid named Jordon Brown <--- thanks to the USA for placing names and photos to the little babbies who was jealous of his step mother (pregnant) and step sister, got a gun<---good ol USA again, shot them to sleep in their beds.

i don't know where that came from either. and then there's the james bolger case (2 year old lured away and killed by a couple of 10 y/o's. those little nimsie cuddles are out of prison with a new name so their neighbours will never know who they really are.

in this case, the adorable little imp stabbed a guy and was resisting arrest. he must have been under the demon rum served to him at applebies.

You know why you were acting the way you did Stormmey, and licks with a wooden spoon sounds about like nuns hitting you on the palm with a ruler. That's more like a stinging tap and not a blaze [censored] whoopin.

I know the root causes of bad behavior can vary greatly, but I think a lot of the time the lack of fear of consequences causes the acting out. That's why your cousin is intimidated by your mom and not his parents because clearly she is able to instill that fear.

I tell you what though, if the day comes that I have a 9 year old in the house that I'm afraid of, I'd have to send him to an institution where a team of professionals could work on figuring out the reason why. That's just some madness there. By the time he's a teen, he'll be beating them if he doesn't get his way.

Most 11 yr olds I,ve come across not only need tasering,they should tar and feather the little bastards after.
