you're right in the sense that the news will usually focus on 'minority' street crime especially shootings, while under-reporting white shootings...in fact the newspapers glorify the 'white' italian mafia...
but in ny there have been a rash of white shooting-killings in the past couple of months...
one guy went on a killing spree..one guy fled to russia...
the stories were too juicy so they had to print it for sales...
all human 'races' commit crimes---whatever the reasons..but the media/talking heads can spin it certain ways

I agree that certain groups are in many cases (here in the Toronto area) more prone to various crimes. As stated, child sex offenders seems to be a white thing. Serial killers, usually white, fraud, again, more often than not, white. Gang related, gun related crimes, usually black perps and black victims.

I'm confident the stats would prove me right.

If the statistical denial of the facts in the original article are true and they seem to be-(you can twist statistics to say what you want-to a degree) that still does not negate the fact that there are a much higher proportion of blacks serving time than would be likely in a non-racist society or in a socialist economy.

The article is just another is a long series that point out the problem, the continuation of racist policies and a racist society.

Hey Guys, I just saw this thread and it reminds me after reading the previous post about more blackmen in prison, about what PJ Patterson said at a party conferenc e in Kingston a few years ago.
He said more man have cell phone. More man have cyar. And to top it off, he said as a measure of progress that more man have more gyal.
Leaves me to ponder why he didn`t add another truth. The truth that more man inna prison in Jamaica than ever before.
PJ knew which categories to choose from and which to leave out, to make his assesment on how progressive Jamaica had been at the time of his tenure as PM.
