TELEVISION Jamaica (TVJ) today signed a historic partnership today with American media giant CNN to be its exclusive broadcast partner in Jamaica.
The partnership will give TVJ direct access to CNN's news reports and footage.
Under the agreement the two media entities will join for daily news and breaking stories; features programming and investigative reporting.
The move was lauded by representatives from both stations.
"Jamaica represents one of the largest most important markets in the Caribbean and we are delighted," said Tony Maddox, executive vice president and managing director of CNN International.
The signing took place at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in New Kingston.
