Kartel's hair real or not? - Deejay's hair causes big debate
Vybz Kartel is at it again. The deejay who is known for being quite controversal has again stirred up some debate; this time because of his hairstyle.
Pictures of the deejay with almost shoulder-length braids began circulating earlier this week, unleashing a firestorm of comments. There has been much debate as to whether his 'long hair' is false, since up to recently he had been sporting a low haircut, while other persons claim the deejay's hairstyle looks feminine.
On Facebook, several persons commented on one of the pictures which has him posing in a bed. One individual stated; "Dat nuh real."
There were some who were much more chastising of the deejay. "Wat kinda sexy pose dat pon bed wid long flowing hair," was one such comment. Another person seemed rather disgusted as she said, "Unuh really want mi vomit today."

There were also several comments on Twitter with some persons even questioning the deejay's sexuality.
Not all the comments about the deejay's new look were negative. One man amid all the negative comments stated that; "Haters will always be haters, dem can't stop Gaza don."
One other person in his comment pointed out that the deejay was achieving the publicity he was seeking with the pictures. "The same people who are bunning out the picture have it up as their display picture or mentioning it in their status. Who you think win?"
When contacted by THE STAR about the comments, Kartel insisted that it was in fact his real hair. He also added that; "Once again, the unpredictable Kartel changes his style again. And I have no doubt that my recent image alteration will have the marionettes dangling yet again from my control."
As to how he believes persons will be reacting to his new look he said, "Don't know and don't care. Gazans love it and that's all that counts."
Recently, the deejay was involved in a skin bleaching controversy as his skin continued to get noticeably lighter. He later explained that he considered skin bleaching to be equivalent to sun tanning for lighter skin persons and that it was a means of changing one's appearance based on style and trends.
