The killing of Osama bin Laden is a mixed blessing for Obama.
He will be seen as the president who got public enemy #1. but on the other hand unless they can now come out and say that OBL was only a figurehead and that Al Qaeda is still a threat that we have to defend against by spending 1.2 trillion dollars a year with the Military Industrial/Corporate Complex, the terrorist threat goes by the board and they'll have to come up with another threat to replace OBL (who replaced the Soviets) to justify the military/imperial spending .
As I am typing this the news show is showing President Obama saying that the U.S killed OBL who was a man responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocents.....
This from a man who has ordered the killings of many more people in Afghanistan, in Iraq, in Libya, in Pakistan, in Egypt. and elsewhere than bin Laden is responsible for killing in his career. -

i cant see the video and cant find a transcript of the interview..they are very eager to paraphrase her however

Derek - why are you so eager to believe what is in this video that the present situation? What gives this more credence that the address to the nation by the Prez?
