Yes, there's racism in &quot;White&quot; America, just as racial/ethnic chauvinism in ALL races in America.....just as SIN exists in America, and in every other country on 'disya' planet! Has it halted progress in America? Has it given pause to any dark-skinned immigrant seeking to start a new life in America??

There was talk about the 'Birther&quot; issue---that Obama might not be a born citizen of the US. Think of that for a moment...over half the White-American electorate voted for a Black man who, for all they knew, might not even be a full citizen of the US! So where is the terror of White Racism? Where is this sting of bigotry?

Of course there's some people who cannot accept Obama because he's black. But THEY DO NOT CARRY THE DEBATE!! Our problem is that we believe they do, and we think all criticism of Obama is racially-inspired.

The Socialist-based economic policies of President Obama---calling for high deficit spending, high taxation, heavy Govt regulation, and massive foreign burrowing to support more Govt-sponsored programs----remains a DISASTER to America, but since this criticism comes primarily from rich white folks, people feel free to dismiss them as racist----never mind that Russia, China, India, and all of Western Europe concur with the criticism!

Never mind what whites think about Obama---what about other people, such as the Muslims and Arabs? Bush waged war in 2 Muslim countries; Obama is waging war in 5, launching killer-drones and now commando-raids in two! He just ordered the killing of one major Arab icon! Qadafi, in particular, spoke more glowingly and commendably of President Obama than any other leader at the beginning of his administration. How ironic those accolades must seem to the Libyan leader now, as members of his family are targeted and killed, in bombing raids supported by US drones and bombers, ordered by Obama! If he gets a second term (which I think he will), all this will continue. Will any of this endear him to Muslims and Arabs....or are they 'racist', too?

Want to believe that Obama would have an easier time if he was white? Well, consider Bush! Did Bush the Younger have an easier time? Did Clinton, Bush the Elder, or Reagan have an easier time?

Our problem is NOT White Racism---it's our OBSESSION with it, it's our FEAR of it. We live in a world much more diverse than even we are willing to give it credit. We don't have all the answers, so we are going to have to look beyond ourselves for them. But if we're going to dismiss all criticism as racist, we confine ourselves to the plantation of no-progress.

At least in the area of foreign policy, and counter-terrorism, President Obama is willing to adapt. He hasn't deviated much from Bush's policy of carrying the fight to the terrorists, and that's why, with the killing of bi Laden, Obama is receiving applause from ALL Americans.

Emperah, Mi need to correct what was said shown in bold. Barry did not invade or ordered an invasion of Africa (Libya) as you put it... He was very careful by permitting the innitial NO FLY order that targeted locations that were used or facilitated in the killing of his own defenceless people.. That is part of the UN Mission; Now that NATO has taken over, it will be up to them to decide if an invasion (boots on the ground) is neccessary...

What are you doing, trying to get yourself killed?
You can't come into Jamaicans.com and point out that the black president of the United States is as immoral as all his predecessors.

Some would argue since he is (considered) black he should have been more sensitive on things affecting black people and the poor who are disproportionately black and he hasn't been paying ANY attention to the poor.
That's because he has to pay back for all the bribes he's received from wealthy of the country and the Military Industrial/Corporate Complex .
