Coincidence?

Well for starters, all the major hanks have been convicted (but barely punished) for laundering drug money...and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Not a theory anymore

For a long time, knowledgeable people have speculated about the degree to which the cash of the drug business keeps the banking system afloat.

It looks like they've got their hooks deeper into the system than just about anyone imagined. </span>

The international banking system, which is based on the 'fractional reserve ' system, is essentially fraudulent by nature. You have noticed that as soon as some sort of strife begins in a country, the banks CLOSE THEIR DOORS.

WHY IS THIS? It's because everybody who has money deposited in a bank is likely to try and get it out again, and THE MONEY ISN'T THERE. For every $100 deposited into their 'coffers', banks here (with a Fractional Reserve Rate of 10%) are permitted to lend out $1000 of which $900 doesn't previously exist. The loan manager just taps the numbers out on a computer keyboard and <span style="font-style: italic">Presto!</span> the money appears in the borrower's bank account. It becomes an addition to the MONEY SUPPLY as it is spent.

But if you're buying or building a house, you take out a mortgage and the bank (WHO?!) suddenly owns 'your' house. What did they do to own it? They typed out a bunch of numbers on the keyboard of a computer.

When I first came to Ghana, the Banking Reserve Requirement was 35%. Now it's down to 10%. What it is in Canada?? Well, actually, about 20 or so years ago, it was eliminated entirely, believe it or not! Are we all mad to trust them?

I rest my case.

Well said. Fractional reserve is all about spending 'money' that doesn't exist and/or is not backed by any commodity such as gold or silver!
