weather...one day it is snow..next day is pure wind and dust....i swear i could kill somebody....all that money i paid to have the lawns cleared and here come the wind spreading some likkle tings from some tree r di odda...oooooohhhhh

up at 7am to mek it to Home depot..dem having sale on pation furniture n grills...not ongle did dem not have the furniture me wanted dem neva ha di grill eida..dem ha di display fi di furniture n aldoah dem records seh dem had two in stock, well dem was so well hidden as to be invisible..so mi leff mi info along wid a promise of additional discount fi mi inconvenience....
mi trainer repaired a hole i had in the deck..he sawed out the bad part n replaced it wid a solid plant...oohh ..he is sooo manly n helpful
bought a pressure washer ongle to be told dat u no fi pressure wash u deck as water stays in the wood an wen u stain it bubbles will appear..so mi have a brush to scrub di deck..did i mention dat u cannot go by the home depot an see some day labourers hanging out waiting to be employed for the day (wink)
i hate physical work but guess if i do this i wont have to work out -

Well the weather here in the burbs of Toronto is spectacular. Sitting on my patio sipping on some Blue Mountain coffee and puffing on a Romeo Y Julieta I purchased in Havana 3 plus years + ago.
All in all, life not so bad!

This topic is nostalgic for me. Canadians are soooooo preoccupied with the weather, while here in Ghana it is hardly ever mentioned, except to say "The weather is nice and cool today'" or "the sun is TOO HOT today".
But a couple of weeks ago we had the sort of storm we're never supposed to see in Ghana. It was the most horrific electrical storm I have ever seen in my life. The thunder and lightning crashed so violently all around and on top of us for a solid half hour, terrifying everybody in the neighborhood. Lightning came into the house I'm living in and even after the lights went off, a bulb that was still switched on FLASHED! My helper saw the lightning inside the house and said to herself: "We're all going to die here today!" Funny thing - it scarcely rained.
I said to my friends when I was leaving Canada to move here, "If I never feel cold again it will be TOO SOON." Little did I know that there are some nights when you want 4 blankets on your bed.
But it's always warm enough during the day.

MsP glad to know that you are enjoying life in Ghana.
Twice I saw an electrical storm and each time it was horrifying :yikes: First time I was driving and jah know mi nuh know mi neva crash inna smaddy. I was driving and little did I knew that I most protected inside the vehicle. Next time it was worse... mi did dey way out inna di cornfield land areas pon a lonely trail for my Saturday morning run. A piece lightening and thundering started. Mi nearly pee-pee up miself. You ever see lightening and you want to duck and can't find no where to duck? That was how I felt... I really thought I was a goner that morning.

time in mi life, evah, mek a pitcher of margaritas....mi even had was fi look up di recipe fi know wat fi buy...dis lovely man in di likka store tell mi bout a cadillac margarita n seh mi muss mek sure mi mek it too one day
so now mi ha dis big blender full of margarita n di fuss one a gi mi a wikked headache..is like mi freeze mi brain u see....helllllllllllllllllllllp,...but mi planning fi feel no pain r nutten yah soon...cause it a go rain...n mi juss go look fi plants n tings today so u know seh it a go rain fi spite me....ah sah...Comment

Cadillac Margarita recipe
1/2 oz 1800® Tequila
1 oz Grand Marnier® orange liqueur
1/4 ozfresh lime juice
Shake 100% blue agava tequila with grand marnier and lime juice, and strain into a chilled salt-rimmed cocktail glass. Serve.Comment
