I have only been in a tornado itself only once. Not even a siren went off but from what I heard later it was coming down Cobb Parkway and bouncing back and forth onto Powers Ferry Road. Not a one siren of any type went off but just so happened I had my sliding glass door open and was wondering what the noise was. It was sleet, big rocks of ice, or whatever hitting the balcony. Only because I went to look did I see it was pitch black outside well after the sun had risen.
If I'm ever on the other side of that coming down the road again, I want a special siren. I got in the tub, it beat my car to death, and it did hop over my apt, but everyone was not so fortunate.
People going to school majoring in meteorology, folks chasing tornadoes to learn how to predict them, and sirens are able to go off. I don't understand why they can't set a different off when a tornado is on the ground.

Hurricanes are nit spawned from tornadoes but hurricanes regularly spawn tornadoes.
Tornadoes are generated from the motion of weather systems over terraine.
while hurricanes are spawned by the differences in air temperature at elevation and ground level over water.
One hurricane can spawn multiple tornadoes, but tornadoes can't creat Hurricanes.
