OPRAH show - Parting Thoughts

I have mixed feelings about Oprah. She has been both a blessing and a curse IMHO.

However, anytime someone (especially a black woman) achieves even a small fraction of the success that she has I have to give full props.

So goodbye Miss Oprah! Good luck on the many things you still have planned.

I will miss the show, but Oprah is still about on her network. Oprah has done many wonderful things with her earnings and for that she deserves props. I wonder what today's show will be?

Initially I was indiferent, then I detested Oprah. ... I began detesting Oprah I sat on a bar in the Port Harcourt Nigeria in 1996 (or it might have been a bush bar in the Delta)...it was about 11 am in the morning I was jinking a labourite at the time....It was on in the back ground.. a guy was telling me a story of how he nearly killed Colin Powel on with a golf club, that was a funny story). The working girls were watching Oprah and telling us to sush..

On the program was Larry Ellison.. Oprah and him were exchanging veiws that the world would be happier if we all had less and reccommend that we got rid of all our material possesions....As an example she had got rid of her art collection and he had reduced to one house and one yatch....

I looked roud at the bar filled with sex workers watching this program and thought that is a load of undiluted cack....

Every single evil in the world has happened to her..

i remember when oprah first started the talk show, it was more along the lines of a jerry springer type show. when those started to proliferate, she was smart enough to change up the menu.

i was not much of an oprah watcher tho.

she's a smart woman.

Nicely put Milo. Some of us can only wish to half achieve what this woman has achieved. I do sense that some people I know even dislike her for that very success. I never watched her show (except when shi have Barack pan it ) but I have always admired her tenacity, go getter attitude and her good will to the community. Well done Oprah!

har network off the air..seh dem will be back ...the first head was fired last week

i haven't watched the show but noted dat the first part was all about her white frenz...the second all her black ones...at least dat is how the line up read in the info ,,,,

glad she achieved her heart's desires...she went for wat she wanted...odda dan dat , cannot seh she affected me in anyway di way mi hear some wax eloquent re her...
