That depend on whether your colleagues think that You can only afford new clothes after collecting pay.

I wouldn't think anything of such action on the part of people i work with.

I never really noticed or thought about it I guess. Now one thing I can say is true that a manager told me long time ago is that if you dress raggedy on the regular, everyone will notice when you get a new outfit.

Outside of work though, I do notice it with friends. I had one who would shop at this discount store every time she got paid. Don't get me wrong, I will shop a sale down to the ground, but it was the type of store where you could barely wash the clothes without a zipper falling apart, picking a button up out the dryer, funny stitching, and all that.

I seldom take notice of anyone else's clothes or what they wear wah day; so if they wear something new I don't notice/care.
