we suffer from low self-esteem as a people...we are usually so happy just to be seen on tv that we don't care how we are portrayed...
just like how they want to make every black movie in hollyweird about either gangsta business or buffoonery or pathology....

i don't see the similarity-- to me rihanna is clearly of african descent (despite the endless euro-looking weaves)...while sean paul looks more mixed;

only ignorant folk thought sean paul could not be jamaican...
but people like that would not think pele is brazilian...or celia cruz is cuban...they just don't know much about the world
