I'm checking out a few offerings at the 2011 DC Caribbean Film Fest.
I know about the brilliance of Lee Scratch Perry as a record producer. Mi totally respeck dat bredrin
but, mi rah, after last night's documentary, <span style="text-decoration: underline">The Upsetter: The Life and Music of Lee "Scratch Perry</span>, mi nevah know seh di man is <span style="font-style: italic">that</span> 
. He is, like, way way out there. I do not recommend this documentary for the uninitiated.
That said, Lee Scratch Perry, cannot be defined and I came away from that documentary with a thorough appreciation for his life's work and his ability to push the envelope in music production and composition and thereby paving the way for many artists of several pop music genres
