OK, first I have issues with Creflo - long standing. I wouldn't waste the breathe it would take to break it down. Don't doubt for a second that I would not rag on him at any valid opportunity.

However, he's not supporting Eddie Long's behavior so I'm not going to be able to agree with the thread title which is basically insinuating that he's about condoning the DL

For all I know, Creflo could be getting rooted out every night, but the other thing I know is the love of money is what this clip is about. He just wants to make sure his folks don't get any funny ideas and continue to follow him no matter what and of course keep paying.

i can't stay mad at creflo, he's so pretty and on the intellectual side.

anyhoo, i kind of side with tulip in that i dont think creflo is supporting eddie long's behaviour, as much as he's saying nobody is perfect, and that his congregation must deal with eddie and not abandon him.

it seems to be the basic christian dilemma of figuring out which is the greater virtue - forgiveness or judgment.

anybody can forgive someone for a one time thing, but not when dem a do it over and over and over again, not only one person, but this guy, but couple young man well....come on man, he is def a wolf in sheeps clothing, period!!!

true, sistac. i dont think the issue is long's sin - i think everybody knows that what he did was wrong (though i've never such actions described as &quot;wrecks&quot; which, in one sense, seems to trivialize the whole issue.)

i think what creflo was preaching on was how does a congregation, whether his own or eddie long's, react to this sin, and more important, what would jesus do?

would jesus forgive long, who has essentially admitted to the sin?


ETA - is forgiveness dependent on the length of time the sin was committed?

the problem is dat none want to castigate the behaviour even wen dem know it to be true...dem dont want to lose favour r position wid di party involved due to the party's power, wealth etc

dat is the dilemna dem find demselves in n dere is nutten Christian in dem dilemna...di Bible sez u must speak out...no one will evah convince me dat none of his peeps knew nothing...i use my old church as an example...wen u in di pew sniff out seh something no kosher up on the altar, u done know seh di deacons, him fellow parsons n close friends already know....but i have found dat lead parson appoint veddy close frenz rather than brothers in Christ to dem deacon board, dem board period, and dose close frenz wives to jobs in the office

i can remember a conversation wid a ranking in the church who i mentioned wat was being said re carrying on, n he told me straight up dat wid di pay all were getting, nobody was gwine sheg dat up...it was more dan dem would command out dere in the world

now wen a one feel comfortable to tell dat sort of truth, wat else can u expect

mi fight my battles of being in ur face wid some truths , yes, but even me draw a line wid tekking awn GOD IN HIM HOMEFRONT..

the state of the church BODY is due to our weaknesses as believers...i am short-tempered n no sin is any less or more a sin..sin is sin...the difference is who will admit to it ....

reading dis weekend it came to me dat some peeps in church dont yet realise wat change of lifestyle mean fully...dem separate dem 'church' face from dem 'world' face not realising dat dem world decisions r now almost inseparable from wat dem call dem church decisions

people seh as long as it brings in people TO THE CHURCH, IT IS ALLL GOOD

see, dem dont seh anyting about bring dem to GOD

now mek mi go do penance fi many a recent behaviour...
