Yes I agree that I show a distinct disrespect for opposing opinions and in 99% of those cases the opposing view (such as supporting Obama and U.S policies, capitalism, God) has no validity. I do tend to stick to U.S foreign policy and the media where I have more knowledge than do those who oppose me.

I can never respect someone who has no argument, knows far less about the subject than do I, but who nonetheless attempts to belittle my positions with inanities or smiley faces.

I would agree that my arguments sure are tiresome and in a couple of ways:

1) I keep repeating the same valid arguments but many will not take the time to check them out, preferring as is the way of so many to disregard that which opposes their long held and erroneous beliefs.
It must be tough to hear that Obama sucks, that capitalism doesn't work, that the governments are corrupted and have to shut your eyes and ears to it.
No one wants to hear that their father is a child molester.

2) Most of my opinion and conclusions come from about 40 years of study. Much of that in the sort of things like revolution, economics, democracy which put most people to sleep. There are a great many polysyllabic words in the articles I recommend as well as concepts that require even more reading into even more esoteric matter in order to fully grasp the essence of what is being said.

That is what is tiresome to most

Yes that's why I'm made to sit in the corner with a dunce cap on my head.
and listen to the wonderfully informative dissertations on who is bleaching their face, who is having sex with whom or photographing their Wiener.
I'm too intellectually impaired to sit in with the rest of this illustrious class.

About verbosity: when I was in school I always found it better to explain complicated concepts in rather more detail than less. When discussing things that are alien to many naifs in this forum like U.S foreign policy and media bias and control, details are critical to the debate at hand. Most will not know what I am talking about when I say that the U.S killed 3 million Vietnamese to stop a democratic election in Vietnam.
You need a lot of background info to understand the truth in that statement .

So it is with so many things with which the great unread are unfamiliar .

Yes I know that mini messages are all the rage on Twitter and Facebook but you know as well as I that bumper stickers do not work when discussing U.S foreign policy, morality, religion, the media and the great many other esoteric but important things that people, for one reason or another, take no interest in knowing about.

You failed to mention which of my many positions do not have a strong argument.
Care to mention a few so I can see what you mean.
( of course I think all my positions have strong arguments behind them)

Up here in Canada we have re-elected the Conservative government who tends to be for giving the corporations tax breaks.... for what? So they can create jobs? More and more of those jobs are being created overseas, so who is suppose to benefit exactly when the tax burden is lifted from big business.

I'm going to stake me out a street corner and start beg fi a likkle smalls here and there. The way I see it, that is going to be the way of the future.

The idea of a tax cut is to free up money to make a more business friendly environment so they will expand and hire.

Capitalism has always followed cheap labor.

Americans have always been the number one consumer of goods in the world.
If Americans don't have jobs, where does the money come from to consume?

ZNET may have a lot of opinion but it has more fact than most other sources especially on U.S foreign policy and economic.

That ZNET is just one opinion as against others is simply not true.

You can take all the corporate media outlets including NPR/&quot;P&quot; BS and get your information from them and form your opinions and when it comes to foreign policy, economics and the other topics covered by ZNET , you will become largely DISINFORMED.
We have been through this media thing many times and all agree that the U.S media is unreliable at best on these matters-I will not go into details unless you want them again.

If you were to read ONLY ZNET on the topics that they cover you would become well informed. An article at ZNET MAY contain an occasional inaccuracy because they reprint what the authors write and do not edit. I say MAY contain because I can't remember having anyone tell me they found an inaccuracy.
Secondly, very few people here at Jamaicans.com want to read what is found at ZNET simply because they are liberals or right wingers and what they find at ZNET is a bit like a Christian watching a video of a Christopher Hitchens attack on Theism.

Most people lack the historic perspective, a deep knowledge of U.S foreign policy, of the corruption of the government, and a host of other info to make reading ZNET comfortable for them.

In fact, most people here do not read the articles nor the much shorter excerpts from articles I post from ZNET and I'll leave the reasons for that to your imagination.

You most obviously don't spend much time at ZNET or you'd have known that ZNET is far more factual than any source you have and I'm talking FACTS here and not opinion.


Yes, we all certainly form our opinions from the information in what we read and listen to . My point would be that the quality of the INFORMATION found at ZNET is so far above the corporate media crap that it should not require me to point that fact out.




Let's make this short and sweet:
How many times has the corporate media and the government lied to us?
(rhetorical question)

How many lies or intentionally wrong information have you or anyone ever found in any of the articles at ZNET and especially in the cases where the information at ZNET contradicts what the corporate media and the government are putting out?


In a way that is not a good or a fair question.

You would have to be familiar with the contents of ZNET to be able to answer and you know as well as I that very few people will read ZNET.
