In his efforts to better the standard for all Jamaicans, Bunting has served as Chairman of the NWC, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Secretary of the PNP's Policy Research and Programme Review Commission, President and CEO of NIBJ, and Chairman of Jamaica Trade and Invest (formerly called JAMPRO).

Peter is not one to shrink from a challenge. In his 1993 election debut brought him up against former Prime Minister Hugh Shearer for the South East Clarendon seat, which Peter won for the PNP for the first time in Jamaica 's history. Having demonstrated his political abilities at the representational level, he used that platform to effectively represent his constituents and meet the needs of the constituency at the Parliamentary level. In his four years as Member of Parliament, Peter was successful in responding to the needs of the people of South East Clarendon in critical areas of infrastucture. Through his representation there was expanded water supply in the communities of Hayes, Hunt's Pen, Portland Cottage and Top Halse Hall; there was a new Police Station in Hayes and the construction of Longwood Park Housing Scheme.

His combination of energy, vision, excellence, fairness and quality service has given Peter Bunting the balanced experience in both the private and public sector to make him an invaluable leader for the constituency he has been chosen to represent.

Mr. Holness served as Executive Director in the Voluntary Organization for Uplifting Children from 1994 to 1996. Then he joined the Premium Group of Companies and functioned as a special assistant to Most. Hon. Edward Seaga. In 1997 he became Member of Parliament for West Central St. Andrew and served as Opposition Spokesperson on Land and Development from 1999 to 2002. In 2002 he switched portfolio to Housing and then Education in 2005. He was sworn in as Minister of the same in September 2007.

Wow did the Politrix Forum get cancelled?
