So much for a relaxing Barbados getaway.

Up to 12 British passengers were questioned by police after a vicious flight broke out in the middle of a Virgin Airlines flight to the Caribbean, the Daily Mail reported.

The fight lasted for half an hour and ended with at least one man with a black eye and one woman with her arm in a sling, the paper reported.

&quot;It was unbelievable, it was like something out of a movie,&quot; 70-year-old Elsa Brandford told the newspaper.

&quot;I was looking at it and wondering if I was still watching my in-flight movie.&quot;

Brandford said that a woman began shouting at someone for swearing in front of her child.

She said before she knew it, people were gathered around throwing punches at each other.

&quot;It was vicious. It was frightening. There were punches going off in all directions. I never expected to see something like that.&quot;

Police in Barbados told the paper they were still investigating the incident.

It's not the first time there's been brawls on Virgin flights from London to warmer destinations. In May, Jason Dixon and Danielle Bishop were arrested after they allegedly became intoxicated and got into a fight, the <span style="font-weight: bold">Jamaica Observer reported</span>.

THREE members of a British family took part in a &quot;vicious&quot; boozed-up brawl on a flight to Barbados.
Martin and Zoe King and her dad Derek Edmond, 76, were arrested after their flight landed.

<span style="font-weight: bold">The fight broke out after a Danish family complained about the noise the Kings were making.</span>

Another witness told how a man was held in a headlock while another passenger hit him in the face.
Mrs King, of Coulsdon, South London, was left with a black eye while her husband had his arm in a sling.

The couple and Mrs King's dad, of Woodhall Spa, Lincs, were each fined £2,300 after appearing at a
Barbados court yesterday, admitting disruptive behaviour.
They were told they cannot fly again with Virgin.

How long are the flights and what size are the planes?

People drinking and having nicotine fits in close quarters for a long period of time doesn't sound like the best idea ever.
