read this online...It's these people review of their AI resort after spending time in Jamaica
the second paragraph had me cracking up.......
We read a lot of reviews about this resort before we went and the most negative comment that we saw was about the airport being so close. It is. It's about a mile away, and you can hear the planes, but it's not disruptive or annoying--and you really do stop noticing after the first few times. The staff at the resort all wave when a plane takes off to make light of it, but honestly, it wasn't a big deal at all.
When we first arrived in Jamaica, we were a little skeptical, the country itself looks almost third-world, and pretty poor . But once we got to Sandals, the resort was absolutely IMMACULATE and maintained beautifully. The staff was unbelievably inviting and helpful, I've literally never met anyone that customer-oriented in my life. The food was great, and the drinks were never-ending. The entertainment was top-notch. There were amazing events every night, and they always included the crowd. There were musical/dance acts some nights, and game shows that the guests played, as well as Jamaican dance lessons! My husband and I participated in the Lover's Game (and won a bottle of Rum for getting first place!) and theme song competitions..it was really an amazingly planned place. Our room was gorgeous, and room service came and cleaned twice a day. We went kayaking, sailing, and tubing (all free!)..and the water was beautiful. The only thing that I would have done different is made the dinner reservations the first night. We forgot all about making reservations and weren't able to get a table at one of the restaurants. Also, there is no ATM on the resort, so if you need any cash, don't forget to pull it out at the airport!
Bottom line, it was absolute paradise! I would recommend it in a heartbeat, and we hope to go back again!
Room Tip: We had the beachfront conceirge room.
