So it look like everybody 'fraid fi say a who. The papers can get sued even if they name the person as a person of interest I suppose. But the Observer offered a description of the alleged perp. He is a real estate developer with political ties to both PNP and JLP who is said to have enormous wealth and is linked to other major local figures from the criminal underworld, while maintaining “very deep” connections with senior members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force. Oh oh...

it seems to be a prominent real estate Jamaican family... a guess as the rich protects the rich,except when it threatens thier own prosperity.. maybe if the public just pick a name out the hat, and start batting that one round as the culprit, that family would put the real culprit name out there in order to clear-up theirs..

EVER since Kingston College student Khajeel Mais was killed by the driver of a BMW X6, who turned his gun on a taxi in which the 17-year-old was a passenger two Fridays ago, Jamaicans have been eager to learn the identity of the mysterious shooter who was able to flee the island.
The public’s interest was further heightened when allegations swirled that a senior crime fighter, who had been in charge of a St Andrew police division up to recently, had withheld information from investigators which allowed the suspect to flee to the United States. (The superintendent, whose house was searched on Thursday, has since denied any wrongdoing.)

Also, this past week, the suspect’s Belgrade Loop home in St Andrew was raided by the police who seized two BMW X6 sports utility vehicles, which added to the suspense.
While the name of the alleged shooter cannot be published because he has not been charged with a crime, there are some things the Sunday Observer can report about him, based on interviews with persons who have intimate knowledge of him.
For one, the man, who is of dark complexion, has deep ties with both major political parties, though he is said to have greater loyalty to the Opposition People’s National Party.
“He plays both parties and whichever one is in power he will gravitate to it, but he is a PNP man,” said one of these persons.
According to the source, very senior members of both the PNP and the ruling Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) were in attendance at a party the suspect threw some time ago.
He is also said to have had a friendship/business relationship with former Tivoli Gardens strongman Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke, a staunch JLP supporter who is to face trial on drug and gunrunning charges in New York on September 12, following his extradition to the United States in June last year.
The murder suspect — who is a real estate developer and who is said to have enormous wealth — is also linked to other major local figures from the criminal underworld, while maintaining “very deep” connections with senior members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
The suspect, who over the years has kept a low profile, is said to have real estate developments in several posh St Andrew communities, including Liguanea and Norbrook.
Additionally, he’s said to have developments along Red Hills Road and owns several other multi-million-dollar properties in the Constant Spring area of St Andrew, among others.
<span style="font-weight: bold">He’s also the owner of a private jet.</span>
The 30-something businessman, who is said to have Canadian citizenship, has been a victim of tragedy himself.
A few years ago, he nearly died in a crash that wrecked the high-end sports utility vehicle he was driving at the time.
He is said to have driven a BMW X5 after. The two X6 SUVs, according to one of the persons, were purchased in recent months.
According to the police, the suspect fled to the United States shortly after shooting Mais, who was en route to a fete in a taxi. The shooting occurred after the taxi cab was involved in an accident with the BMW X6.
Steps are being take to secure the suspect’s arrest and extradition back to Jamaica.

If the eyewitness is similarly confused, the alleged shooter's attorney could make an issue of this. Plus there is apparently no weapon to be found anywhere.

Criminal defense attorneys are in the business of selling reasonable doubt.
