This guy in my office told me how when his brother was about seven years old, he kept pestering his parents to take him to see his daughter.
At first they thought he was being silly until he described his daughter, the area where she lives (in Syria) and the colour of the house.
Eventually, they all visited and the little boy virtually told 'his daughter' (a big woman) how he (her father) died and stuff only the woman would know.
The guy told me that to this day that women (now old) always visits his family and warmly greets her 'dad' (now in his twenties).
He stressed that when you hear these stories, they fascinate, but when it happens personally, to you and your family, it takes on an entirely different meaning.
