Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony split up
Forget whether Jennifer Lopez will be getting back on "Idol" -- what's not up for speculation is that Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony will be getting a divorce.
"We have decided to end our marriage," they said Friday in a joint statement first reported by People. "This was a very difficult decision. We have come to amicable conclusion on all matters."
The couple, parents to 3-year-old fraternal twins Max and Emme, were married in a low-key 2004 ceremony at her Beverly Hills home. They had renewed their vows in 2008, and again last year. The "American Idol" judge even brought her hubby to work more than once, capping the show's season with a hot joint performance featuring Sheila E. on drums (see the video below).
This was the second marriage for Anthony and the third for Lopez, who before hooking up with longtime friend Anthony also was engaged to Ben Affleck; "Bennifer" broke up in 2003. She also famously dated Sean "P. Diddy" Combs for a couple of years back in the day. Anthony and Lopez were married days after his divorce was finalized.
They added Friday that this was a "painful time for all involved," and asked that their privacy be respected.
So, wow, that's one way to steal the ol' Carmageddon spotlight. Not to mention shed light on why J.Lo went stag to meet the royals at the "Brits to Watch" event last weekend. Guess Maria Shriver had dibs on the Friday heading into the 4th of July weekend?Comment

What I noticed with Lopez - whenever, I mean EVERY time, I heard her talk in interviews about her marriage, she'd always talk about how much work it was, how hard it was, how much compromise there was - many times I heard her talk about how much compromise was involved - specifically talking about compromise.Comment

This is JLo's 3rd failed marriage.
Why is it that when Halle Berry breaks up with someone, people attach a specific vibe to her and insinuate that there's something wrong with her. Like; <span style="font-style: italic">why can't she keep a man / something must be wrong with her / she's frigid / it's not the men, there's something wrong with how she is </span>- etc etc. You all know what I'm saying. She's been divorced twice.
Meanwhile:
JLo: 3 divorces
Madonna: 2 divorces, a millionbusted relationships
Demi Moore: 2 divorces, 3 husbands
Britney: 2 divorces
Angelina Jolie: 2 divorces
Christie Brinkley: 4 divorces

And dont even mention the men - they get no shade at all - TOTAL double standard.

Like you Compray ... I thought they would make it. Mainly because they seem to be such good friends
I am even more shocked because seh was just on JLeno talking about how wonderful the relationship is... She went on that past relationships there was a lot of jealously and competition and now she doesn't have that and Marc makes her feel "secure."
That is mi keep wondering - celebrity or no celebrity - why people noh jus larn fi kip dem business to demselves.
Now if shi eva goh back pan Leno, yuh know imma goh play dat tape back and den watch her squirm in her chair

I am not talking about the fact that she didn't air her dirty laundry ..that's one aspect of it. She led the viewing audience to believe that things were great and the question she was asked did not warrant the romance novel she gave. She was asked how Marc felt about her getting "most beautiful woman of the yr". Jus seh he was happy for me and leave it at that.
She went on a and on ... he's wonderful that .. he is the greatest ever.. he is just a sweetheart yaddi yaadi. All a dat neva necessary for that simple question IMO, especially when you know yuh on the brink of divorce. To me that sets her up for more questioning now that this breaks and on top of that make her to be phoney. But den again, a noh di furs time shi do dat
An BTW if yuh want to get more clarification of what I am saying .. ask yourselves..when was the last time yuh si the majority of men in Hollywood giving interviews and talking about their relationship - good or bad. Is only the female dem run dem mout.
