people have yet to see that 2-party systems are a creation of the hidden hand...

they deliberately create a dichotomy to give the illusion of choice; coke/pepsi, etc.

this way they are able to keep the population at odds with each other- this side vs. that side...all the while unable to see the real winners of this eternal battle;

itsa interesting that the republican party was once the party that outlawed slavery, while the democrats were the party of white supremacy...
now they have supposedly switched around--
but in the end, it is all illusion

Anyone who thinks that there is significant differences between the aims of the Democrat party and the Republican Party needs to have their attention drawn to reality by a swift application of a 2 x4 to the head.

Answer the big question; &quot;Is your life or the lives of most Americans better or worse since Obama became president?&quot;

Was it any better after we got rid of the philandering Bill Clinton for the greater morality of George Bush?

Are there not two parties who vote for the laws that are passed, that together have created the mess we're in because they both support the oligarchy (rule of the rich and powerful) ?


Bush did not create the mess. Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush I, Clinton, Bush II and Obama created and are perpetuating the &quot;mess&quot; for us and the incredible building of wealth for the already wealthy, the sinking of the middle class and the ever increasing poverty levels.

You are no more brain dead voting Republican than you are voting Democrat and expecting a change in the way things have been carefully laid out by and for those who OWN both parties.

He is just foes not have the skills to use what he has This achieve what he need.

He has been socialized to function with appropriate support. Well that is not available.
Since some of his advisors are not up This the task And he foes not have the skills This recognize it.
He is a bad poker player. And negotiations are simply poker, only with much more St stake.

Vote for lesser evil and you still get evil.
Better to vote for a third party candidate and not get them then to vote for the devil and get him.
Has voting for Obama changed a damned thing besides the colors of the White House drapes?

It is not helpful to compare Third World /poorer Cuba, a country with a governmental and societal form that are relatively new and still developing and which are under attack from the richest and most powerful country to ever have existed with the United States .
Cuba is no less democratic nor any more totalitarian in its government and electoral form than is the United States but unlike the moribund U.S system, Cuba is making changes that will only come into fruition if the U.S ceases its hostilities.
At its base, the Cuban system of nominating, electing and running a government is far more democratic than is that in the U.S.
The war on Cuba is what has perverted Cuba's democracy no less than the U.S./European war on the Soviets throughout the 20th century. (Stalin took power and exiled Trotsky and any chance for a socialist democracy because of the U.S /European invasion of 1920 and WWII and the Cold War after that.)

Not a fair comparison at all.

China is Stalinist, totalitarian and as a true principled socialist/communist I am totally opposed to that model .

The U.S is a dictatorship of the dollar and once you realize that you will understand that democracy is not possible.
The U.S IS an oligarchy. It is not a representative republic wherein the elected representatives represent the interests of the electorate but rather serve the needs of the wealthy and the corporations as they are bribed to do.
This is not the government of 1789 or even of 1945.
We have gone from a representative democracy to an oligarchy: rule by the rich because of media/thought control, ever more effective propaganda methods, ever greater concentration of wealth and the total corruption of the electoral system by monied interests to bend the government to their benefit.


If you can deny this last thought, you have some validity in believing that there is a lesser of two evils.
