The Jamaica 50th Committee in Toronto issued a news release today highlighting events this weekend including "Jambana" August 1st at the Downsview Park.
"Homecoming will be announced by the Consul General of Jamaica to Toronto, Mr. Seth George Ramocan, during his presentation to the event at 3:45p.m."

The Jamaica 50th
Anniversary celebrations being organized by the Jamaican Diaspora
in Toronto now includes a celebrity PROAM golf tournament which will kick-off with
a welcome event and round at the oldest golf club, Manchester Golf Club, followed by
rounds at Jamaica’s finest golf courses as follows:
Monday, April 23, 2012 - Manchester Golf Club (Welcome reception)
Wednesday, April 25, 2012 – Constant Spring Golf Club
Thursday, April 26, 2012 – Caymanas Golf & Country Club
Saturday, April 28, 2012 - The Tryall Club
Sunday, April 29, 2012 – Sandals Golf & Country Club (Closing, & Prizes)
