The debris also ignited fires, which continued to burn throughout the afternoon on lower floors of the building. So the owner Larry Silverstein didn't order them to bring it down, then? He clearly says here that he did.


As I stated earlier, no skyscraper fire in HISTORY has ever caused a building to collapse - never mind collapse neatly into its own footprint.

I doubt if there have ever been 40+ story buildings that had huge hot fires that raged inside them for 7 hours either.

Larry isn't some building destruction expert... he's not gonna be an expert in their lingo. BUT, if he was some insane madman that is up to his neck in a horrible conspiracy to kill thousands of Americans and bring down all these buildings... would he really have an interview and then spill his insider information? I dont think so.

I seem to recall when I was watching the news live that day was that the fire dept said they HAD to take bldg #7 down because it so so structurally damaged.

They are successful because nobody really cares. The 'honest mistake' can ONLY be briefing a reporter about twenty minutes too early.

And I'll say it again: do you know how many weeks, if not months it takes to prime a building for demolition? WTC7 came down on the same day after Larry Silverstein said he told them to 'pull it'. It's only logical that the explosives were already set up.

Silverstein and friends made BILLIONS after insuring the building against terrorist attack just WEEKS before 911.

One Meridian Plaza is a 38-floor skyscraper in Philadelphia that suffered a severe fire in 1991. The fire started on the 22nd floor and <span style="font-weight: bold">raged for 18 hours</span>, gutting eight floors and causing an estimated $100 million in direct property loss It was later described by Philadelphia officials as &quot;the most significant fire in this century&quot;. IT NEVER COLLAPSED.

The First Interstate Bank Building is a 62-story skyscraper in Los Angeles. From the late evening of May 4, 1988 <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-size: 14pt">through the early morning of the next day</span></span>, 64 fire companies battled the blaze, which lasted for 3 1/2 hours and the fire gutted offices from the 12th to the 16th floor. IT NEVER COLLAPSED.

New York Plaza is a 50-story office tower less than a mile from WTC. It suffered a severe fire and explosion on August 5, 1970. The fire started around 6pm and burned for more than 6 hours. IT NEVER COLLAPSED.

The tallest skyscraper in Caracas, Venezuela experienced a severe fire in 2004. The blaze began before midnight on the 34th floor, spread to more than 26 floors and <span style="font-weight: bold">burned for more than 17 hours</span>. Heat from the fires prevented firefighters from reaching the upper floors. IT NEVER COLLAPSED.
