Driver In Bronx Tour Bus Crash Pleads Not Guilty To Manslaughter Charges

The driver of a tour bus that crashed back in March killing 15 people pled not guilty today after an indictment against him was unsealed in Bronx State Supreme
Court.

Ophadell Williams faces multiple manslaughter charges.

Williams claimed he lost control of the World Wide Travel tour bus heading back to New York from a Connecticut casino trip after it was sidewswiped by a tractor-trailer.

However, surviving passengers said Williams was asleep behind the wheel when the bus slammed into a sign off Interstate 95, slicing it in half.

Investigators say Williams was driving the bus as fast as it could go, and well above the speed limit.

They also found no indication another vehicle was involved

LOL @ blue collar jail. I get what she's saying too. Don't they have prisoners housed by the severity of their crimes? For example, don't all the &quot;dead men walking&quot; stay in one area?

I get what R_C is saying too though. You have to take responsibility for the consequences of your actions even if they were unintentional.

Some people out there are forced to work two, three or four jobs to feed their kids and keep a roof over their head. It's no wonder things like this happen. Without regular sleep, this would be an <span style="font-weight: bold">accident</span> waiting to happen.

KFM, all we know from the news report is that he was driving &quot;well above the speed limit&quot;. There are few things more terrifying than being a passenger in a bus that is being driven in that manner.

I'm sorry, but my sympathies are with the families of those who died.
