Work on the Palisadoes Shoreline Protection and Rehabilitation project should resume tomorrow following a meeting between the National Workers Union, (NWU) and contractor China Harbour Engineering Company and sub contractor YP Seaton.
On Friday Jamaican workers withdrew their services citing mistreatment on the site.
They were also upset that Chinese workers were contracted to the site to perform duties for which there are many available Jamaicans.
Vice President of the NWU Granville Valentine says those concerns were addressed and the employment disputes have been resolved.
Valentine says it has also been agreed that twice the amount of Jamaicans will work compared to the number of Chinese working on any aspect of the project.
In the meantime, Valentine is also raising concern that Labour Minister Pearnel Charles is yet to explain why permits were given to Chinese workers when Jamaicans are available to do the job.
