I hear yuh.... What really surprised me is that the African countries actually put up dark-skinned girls this year. Usually even Miss South Africa is white .

This year she is black (sans the tall weave ) wid a bit of a thick lip

is it okay to have enhancements to be judged beautiful? or is it the one who comes the closest to an ideal that's picked. caz all those girls have racks that would not naturally be supported without a little padding

It seems that they have no rules against implants and tucks Sue.. cause years ago Miss California did goh get implants paid for by the pageant, weeks before the Miss USA competition. It became public knowledge and she went on to the Miss USA competition, racks and all

Narrow waists are much more characteristic of African women than Asian, European, and Native American.

how can they be taken seriously when their object of beauty is another people??

you would really have to search the continent with a fine-tooth comb to find their beauty contestants rocking natural hsirstyles...

i gave props to Rwanda when i saw them choose a natural african woman over the endless powder-wearing, bleach skin weave-wearers who usually represent 'african beauty'...

I remember when I was younger seeing tons of haitian women in the NY area with long thick plaits down their back I do not automatically assume someone is in a weave unless it obvious (tracks and all)

Yep .. Black people can have natural long hair..dat is a fact!
However when it comes to pageantry, the blacks, Asians, and whites all have hair extensions added as a part y of the &quot;beauty package.

And miss SA was photographed with diff lengths and styles all in one year. No assumptions made


ETA: Extensions these days are designed NOT to show tracks .. it is rarely that <span style="font-style: italic">obvious</span>.

Lawks Kia man ..yuh really send mi fi goh get proof seh dem people yah a wear hair piece. Like mi seh …di hair pieces of today look dam near real. Mi know it hard fi accep but don’t be fooled. When these girls go in for HAIR and makeup ..dem literally get HAIR so dem can achieve a certain look.

That bun on her head can be achieved by just pinning up a fake bun unto her real hair

Why Miss Angola probably made the 'Respect One Another' comment </div></div>

She's got some nerve pointing a finger while she's acting like a typical catty pageant biya. If she believes Miss Angola was the only contestant she didn't know, then she's really in no kind of position to reach a conclusion about that what she does not know.

She then wants to take it a step further and say she only won because they were in Brazil? OK, is it just me? Look lil &quot;not that pretty&quot; girl, stop trying to make yourself relevant. You lost. Suck it up!
