LOl !....for years brown people in Jamaica has had to endure being ridiculed as "redibo" "mallata" "dundus",now it,s finally been revealed that it was all down to browning envy.
Now the blacknings are either bleaching their skins,or some are busy tripping over their feet to dispute what shade of brown constitutes brown,..it seems that brown is the new white in jamaican culture,thanks to some of our more popular dancehall deejays.
Cant say I had any special treatment being brown,but on occasions when I visit I have certainly had some special attention from girls who have alluded to my browningness...LOL....eat your heart out browning envy people.Comment

Going through Bahrain Airport two weeks ago the customs guys let me pass and pulled over the white guy. Does that count? Or is there more discrimination between 'black' people?Comment

funny this come up..mi daughter got homework over the weekend due this morning. the theme was "Special Me" and basically a tell di kids dem dat everybody looks different but everyone is special....so she had was to color a picture of her skin, eyes and hair..mi ask her what color her skin was...she seh black...mi seh tek out di black crayon and put it next to yu skin. she did so. mi seh is your skin black? she seh no it looks like brown. mi seh who tell yu seh yu skin black? she seh her fren at school. mi seh wat color yu fren is. she seh white. mi seh tek out a white crayon. mi seh yu fren look like that? she seh no, she is kinda pink.

Define browning:
Is it the same as the US (lighter than a paper bag test)? Or different criteria.
Can u be dark with straight hair ( a la the indian dem and still be a browning)?If you don't fight for what you deserve, you deserve what you get.
