Re: ..occupywallstreet..
Greetings, pleXxY!
From what I can surmise, the minority section of the American public who realise what's really going on in their nation and the World are becoming very restless. People don't just automatically become aware of the truth when it is so well hidden: they have to go and look for it!
And the ones who have taken the trouble to do that are really alarmed!
And the braver, more courageous among them have decided that they are not going to take it lying down but are going to put their bodies on the line in the effort to protest and educate some of the others.
What I have heard most recently is that contingents of retired US Marines are on their way to join the 'occupation', along with many unions who are beginning to join it - after all, it's pensions they have already paid for that are on the line, and they are the people who are getting stuck for the bills not only to bail our their oppressor banks but also to pay for the huge War machine they are dead set against.
The 'protest' has spread to several other US cities and only time will tell how it all turns out.
What can I say?! - I wish them luck!

Re: ..occupywallstreet..
seems thought that if this kind of uprising was in say any other country, it would dominate all the news.. the countries would look as if they unstable and the American leaders would be on cable news telling the leader of the "unstable" country to listen to the people..
Instead we get X Factor and DWTS (its sad that I know and just used that stupid acronym for that stupid show
)...
Anyhow, if this conspiracy to ignore and hide what is happening, doesnt teach us to question everything we see and DONT see on the newws , what will?

The Revolution Will Not Be Televised
You will not be able to stay home, brother.
You will not be able to plug in, turn on and cop out.
You will not be able to lose yourself on skag and skip,
Skip out for beer during commercials,
Because the revolution will not be televised.
The revolution will not be televised.
The revolution will not be brought to you by Xerox
In 4 parts without commercial interruptions.
The revolution will not show you pictures of Nixon
blowing a bugle and leading a charge by John
Mitchell, General Abrams and Spiro Agnew to eat
hog maws confiscated from a Harlem sanctuary.
The revolution will not be televised.
The revolution will not be brought to you by the
Schaefer Award Theatre and will not star Natalie
Woods and Steve McQueen or Bullwinkle and Julia.
The revolution will not give your mouth sex appeal.
The revolution will not get rid of the nubs.
The revolution will not make you look five pounds
thinner, because the revolution will not be televised, Brother.
There will be no pictures of you and Willie May
pushing that shopping cart down the block on the dead run,
or trying to slide that color television into a stolen ambulance.
NBC will not be able predict the winner at 8:32
or report from 29 districts.
The revolution will not be televised.
There will be no pictures of pigs shooting down
brothers in the instant replay.
There will be no pictures of pigs shooting down
brothers in the instant replay.
There will be no pictures of Whitney Young being
run out of Harlem on a rail with a brand new process.
There will be no slow motion or still life of Roy
Wilkens strolling through Watts in a Red, Black and
Green liberation jumpsuit that he had been saving
For just the proper occasion.
Green Acres, The Beverly Hillbillies, and Hooterville
Junction will no longer be so damned relevant, and
women will not care if Dick finally gets down with
Jane on Search for Tomorrow because Black people
will be in the street looking for a brighter day.
The revolution will not be televised.
There will be no highlights on the eleven o'clock
news and no pictures of hairy armed women
liberationists and Jackie Onassis blowing her nose.
The theme song will not be written by Jim Webb,
Francis Scott Key, nor sung by Glen Campbell, Tom
Jones, Johnny Cash, Englebert Humperdink, or the Rare Earth.
The revolution will not be televised.
The revolution will not be right back after a message
bbout a white tornado, white lightning, or white people.
You will not have to worry about a dove in your
bedroom, a tiger in your tank, or the giant in your toilet bowl.
The revolution will not go better with Coke.
The revolution will not fight the germs that may cause bad breath.
The revolution will put you in the driver's seat.
The revolution will not be televised, will not be televised,
will not be televised, will not be televised.
The revolution will be no re-run brothers;
The revolution will be live.

yea they were all over the so-called "arab spring" but are ignoring the american spring...
it's obvious that the real power in america is embarrassed by this and wants to suppress it...
the only place you will find this covered extensively is in the alternative media like "democracy now" and such programs...mainstream media can't really touch it too much as they are a tool of the same corporations the protesters are against...
the fascists like mayor bloomberg and his gestapo police force are showing their true colors & hopefully the world sees them for what they are...
i give kudos to the protesters for fighting back against the machine as so many americans are dumbed down to what is really going on...can't fool thee young people though..as garvey said nuff a dem only a guh know demself when dem back is against the wall...well their backs are against the wall & they are making their voices heard...
some of these middle-america kids are now feeling what blacks have been feeling for decades- the corruption & brutality of the police & the venality of the elected officials

Re: ..occupywallstreet..
This is just another sign that the American empire is crumbling. This generation will not live the "American dream". It will be more like the American nightmare for them.
I'm glad they are protesting and not just hiding out in their parents basements playing video games.

Re: ..occupywallstreet..
My sentiments extalactly Jah_yout and Milo
And Miss Peaches.. one correction to your post. They are NOT the minority sector of this country. They are the MAJORITY!
I think this whole thing was inspired and probably sprung from what people saw happening in Wisconsin. Those people took took to the streets and had their Governor peeing in his pants. They moved the needle a little more in their direction and that was a smaller movement compared to this one
I also remember earlier this year people like Ed Shutlz, Al Sharpton and Joe Madison from Sirius radio crying out for people to take to the streets to fight this oppression. SO here it is

Re: ..occupywallstreet..
i thought the fight was dead in americans...
good to see these kids taking a stand...
by the way i recommend the movie "Inside Job"...
after seeing that & also "capitsalism: a love story"...no wonder people are outraged...
BRAVO to the occupiers...the fat cats are out of touch & need to be reminded that it is the voice of the people that is the legitimate voice...not the voice of hidden fuedal elites who have the power structure to carry out their dirty work...
