its fair. we have a performance bonus systym--$1200 quarterly. for each infraction carries a deduction-depending on the severity.

the most severe-
Failure to report a fire
then failure to report a spill of more than 5 litres

That is a terrible system....

What do you lose for speeding ? Not taking rest breaks.. Those are obvious two where you put the job in danger..

The trip inspection report is one of those thing that [censored] me off, ...(We called it trip management plan in the desert where u check over ur veicle beore you left and gave the way points advise ).. And it is a statistic that people love to present at board meeting because it is easy to do.. 99.99 % of trip reports filled in..

I had a mate who was in a war zone and was hiding in a ditch while taking fire and he got a call from HSE department asking about the Trip Management report!
