EXTRADITION requests from the American Government for five Jamaicans, among them three prominent faces, are expected to be delivered to local authorities today, a highly placed US Government official has told the Observer.

According to the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, two of the wanted men are politicians, one is a veteran entertainer, while the others both conduct regular business at Kingston’s Port Bustamante

The suss level is very high, very, very high. The way I see it is if you can't do the time don't do the crime. I can't look at it as just a sovereign issue, not in a country of less that 3 million people that was averaging 5 murders a day and 1500 a year. There were obviously some people in lofty positions who were aiding and abetting.

With that said I think the PNPs reach after 18 years in power is long, very long. Just look at the timing here. There is a concerted effort in play to embarrass and oust the JLP from power. If suss turn out to be true not even Holness can pull victory from this.

the day I am convinced that the motivativing factor for the USA's infringement on a nation's soverinity is to reduce that country's crime rate, is the day I go have my head examined..

Gov’t denies rumours of extradition requests for politicians

Daryl Vaz, Minister with responsibility for Information.


The government has flatly denied that there are extradition requests pending for local politicians.

Daryl Vaz, Minister with responsibility for Information, on Wednesday morning responded to a story in Wednesday's Jamaica Observer claiming that two politicians are wanted by US authorities.

The report said the two are among a list of persons wanted in the ongoing matter involving convicted racketeer Christopher &quot;Dudus&quot; Coke.

Mr. Vaz emphasised at Wednesday morning's post cabinet press briefing that no agency in the government is in possession of any information in relation to the extradition of politicians.

He attributed the media reports to mere speculation and is calling for restraint on such types of reporting.

it is interesting how intellectually opinionated many Jamaicans are..
its curious to know if, shy of the Britian itself, is there another nation that embellishes in maneuvering conversations and debates, skillfully manipulating the “Queen’s English”..
many of us grew up on the profisucations of Rev Ronnie Thwaites.. All one had to do was to tune their radio and catch a magical display of wordsmithmanship .. “Magical” being operative, as many of us grew up to realize that it was simply illusional justapacation while the Rev slip us our daily dosage of the Comrades' snake oil.

However the one thing Jamaicans do have is “reasoning”..
It may take awhile to hit, but Jamaicans tend to “get it” after awhile.

Ideally, Jamaicans in due time will ‘get” that it really makes no sense for a leader of a country, a PM, to be facing potential extradition to the US and resigns as the leader.
Jamaicans will “get” that it would be nearly impossible for the US to demand the extradition of Bruce Golding, while he the PM, therefore resigning as he has done, would NOT have been in his best interest.
Jamaicans will “get”, that maybe Mr Golding realized his liability to his party, and by extension to Jamaica.
Jamaicans will “get” that Mr Golding knows from record that if he remained as leader, the people may not have “gotten it” by time the election was called, and a bloodthirsty PNP gang would stand the chance of regaining leadership, to complete their 18 year “Bleed and Destroy a Nation” plan.

How many of us left Jamaica in the 90s and early 2000s, during a time when we saw the Global economy enjoying unprecedented growth while Jamaica’s economy and social existence declined?
Imagine if we had a leadership that actually had the moral fortitude of a Golding and the social organizational strength of this present leadership (which has lead Jamaica to a 2.1% growth in Q3.. DURING an economic Armageddon) as oppose to the practice of “spoils and scarce benefits” that Jamaican languished under for 18 years…

While the reasons for migrating may vary, if it wasn’t for the 18 years of dismal performance by PJ, Portia, Peter, KD, Omar and other notable PNP “comrades” , this poster would most likely still sitting at his office window, overlooking the beautiful Kingston harbor, sharing experiences (and photos ) in “Tek Mi Back a Yard” forum with fellow Jamaicans who have the yearn to return…..
As oppose to ruffling feathers and attracting ire in GD
