Re: mcdonald mixx upp
A cashier at a New York fast food restaurant has been charged with felony assault for beating two unruly customers with a metal object during an argument.
The women remain hospitalized in serious condition, police said.
The incident occurred at a McDonald's on West 3rd Street about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The two 24-year-old women entered the store, placed their order and then began arguing with the cashier, 31-year-old Rayon McIntosh, police said.
CNN affiliate WCBS said the altercation began when the cashier questioned a $50 bill the women gave him. They responded by hurling obscenities at him.
A cell phone video shows how the situation quickly escalated.
One of the women curses at the cashier, then reaches over and slaps his face.
The woman then climbs over the counter, sending the cashier running toward the kitchen area. The other woman walks around to join her friend.
The cashier then suddenly reappears with what police described as a metal object and repeatedly hits the women.
Restaurant patrons scream for him to stop, while other employees try to intervene.
The video, one minute and 10 seconds long, shows the cashier hitting the women 10 times as they lay on the floor.
"Stop! Stop!" one woman screams. "Stop it! Call the cops!"
The cashier would pause and begin again every time the women tried to get up.
The two women suffered lacerations to their head and face and were taken to a hospital, police said. CNN affiliates said one had a fractured skull and a broken arm; the other had a deep laceration
Authorities identified them as Denise Darbeau and Rachael Edwards, and charged them with menacing, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
The franchise owner Carmen Paulino told CNN affiliate WABC that the cashier no longer works at the restaurant.
"I am extremely disturbed by the events captured on tape and am concerned for those injured," Paulino said. "The actions of this individual are unacceptale and not characteristic of my employees."
McDonald's too released a statement, saying the franchisee is cooperating with the investigation.
"The violence in this video is alarming and reprehensible," it said

One thing to defend but excessive force is what he did when he hit them as they lay on the floor
yes he should block dem and call for the police.. I am sure he was not the only worker in the restaurant.
Doesn't McDonalds have a device to test the money btw? That is all he had to do and say it was standard policy. Was the $50 bill real?If you don't fight for what you deserve, you deserve what you get.

I think if you pass licks then you ought to be ready to accept licks.
The video has been removed so I can't see exactly what went on in Mickey D's. It does sound excessive if his co-workers could not even get him off the women.
The thing about calling the police is they don't just magically appear as soon as you dial 911 so he had to take some steps to protect himself. I don't think he issued the described "beat down" because he believed the women were armed though; I think he was just mad as hell.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY (PIX11)—
Shocking cell phone footage taken at a Greenwich Village McDonald's shows a brutal fight between a cashier and two female customers that occurred early Thursday, according to reports.
The argument began around 12:30 a.m. when the cashier, Rayon McIntosh, 31, told the two women -- Denise Darbeau, 24, of Queens, and Rachel Edwards, 24, of Brooklyn -- that<span style="font-weight: bold"> he would have to scan their $50 bill before getting their food</span>, according to DNAinfo.com.
Edwards and Darbeau can be heard in the video swearing at McIntosh and saying, "Do something, p***y." Then Darbeau escalates the situation by <span style="font-weight: bold">lunging forward and slapping the cashier across the face</span>. McIntosh dives forward to retaliate, and pushes the woman before backing into the restaurant.
Darbeau then jumps over the counter while Edwards walks around the side to confront McIntosh, who reaches out of the frame and grabs a metal rod. Gripping the rod in both hands, McIntosh can then be seen winding up and striking both women repeatedly while they fall to the ground.
Patrons can be heard screaming, with one horrified woman yelling, "Stop it! Stop! Stop! Oh my God," as the repeated impact of the pipe can be heard in the background. One woman suffered a fractured skull and a broken arm; the other a deep cut on the head, according to reports.
McIntosh is now being held at the Manhattan Detention Center and faces charges of felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon, according to police. He is being held on $40,000 bail.
Edwads and Darbeau face charges of menacing, trespassing and disorderly conduct.
McIntosh began working at the West 3rd St. restaurant after getting out of prison on parole in March, according to reports, after being convicted of manslaughter. If you don't fight for what you deserve, you deserve what you get.

Re: mcdonald mixx upp
McIntosh served more than a decade in prison after being convicted of shooting and killing Oshan Litchmore, 17, a classmate at Bronx's Evander Childs High School in 2000, when he was only 19 years old. The two teens were outside Macy’s at the Galleria Mall in Westchester when they got into an argument. The fatal bullet passed through Litchmore and hit an 8-year-old passerby in the leg.
McIntosh, who presently lives in the Bronx, was sentenced to 10 to 12 1/2 years in prison. He was paroled last March and has been working in the Village McDonald's since then, according to police sources.
McIntosh is due back in court Oct. 18.
"<span style="font-style: italic">I don't know him as that type of person</span>," his step-mother told DNAinfo.<span style="font-style: italic"> ahm he was convicted of manslaughter </span>
The owner of the McDonald's franchise, Carmen Paulino, said that McIntosh "no longer works for my organization."
“I am extremely disturbed by the events captured on tape and am concerned for those injured. <span style="font-weight: bold">The actions of this individual are unacceptable and not characteristic of my employees.</span> This individual no longer works for my organization," she said.
<span style="color: #FF6666">a customer slaps him in the face, he retailiates. What policies does McD's have when their employees are assaulted? </span>
"Operating safe, welcoming restaurants is my top priority. I am fully cooperating with authorities in the investigation.”
And in a statement, McDonald's said that: “the violence in this video is alarming and reprehensible.
"We strive to ensure that our McDonald’s restaurants are safe and welcoming for our customers," the company added. "Our franchisee is fully cooperating with authorities in the investigation.”

I'm guessing this is the video clip.
While the force which the McDonald's employee uses may be excessive I think that if I'm that guy and someone jumps the counter, my first instinct is self-preservation and my first action would be to attempt stopping them <span style="color: #FF0000">by whatever means necessary</span>.
Perhaps his reaction is learned behavior from his experiences in prison.

<span style="color: #FF0000">Try for a minute to imagine the same scenario, only reversed: Two guys jump the counter and attack a woman cashier who then beats the **** out of them. That woman would be hailed as a hero, would she not? But this poor guy that defended himself will be thrown into the slammer.</span>
Again, If they were men, they would've been charged and McIntosh would be walking free. It's bad enough police don't want you to defend yourself, now you've become the accused, only because a female is the perpetrator.
