as prisons continue to be privatized and more and more r sentenced, businesses r finding these prisoners useful as a very cheap workforce....

do u believe there is an arrangement to sentence more for just the reason of providing this cheap workforce....

Enough are sentenced to a life of poverty that makes youing mothers work in wholesale and grocery stores for 4 and 5 thousand Jamaican dollars a week.
The prisons will be obligated to bedding and feeding inmates. Wholesale store owners and likewise do not have that responsibility.

true it happens all over, but in the US the incidence of new prisons is very current...the lowering of the age that is considered 'adult' is on the rise ....the use of prisoners by private corporations is also on the increase even as the country faces massive unemployment in the general public.,,

Actually, I think that was a more successful strategy 50 or more years ago when prisoners were working on the chain gang and stamping out license plates. The value of manual labor is way down these days.

Even if they did want to put them on the end of a customer service phone line, it's 1. probably a bad idea and 2. likely not cheaper than farming the services out to India or China.

There could possibly be some reason for having more prisoners but cheap work force for shizzo isn't it. It's 2011 and you're shouting mid 1950s war crimes.
