I agree with you Wendy. Gaddafi would have killed more people if they did not have the planes above to prevent his troops and tanks from going town to town.

If anyone here thinks Ghadaffi was killed because he was simply a tyrant that killed his people, they may want to have their head examined..

I totally agree wid yuh on dat plexxy But hear di flip side. It is that said control of oil that lead to the ultimate corruption of the government of Lybia, Iran, Iraq so an and so forth. Without that same oil you speak of they probably would be a more democratic country giving their citizens the RIGHT to freedom.. the RIGHT to decent living condition, the RIGHT to freedom of speech and the RIGHT to be equal under one law. Moammar Gadhafi’s last words were revealed on video being played by Arab television stations, showing a crowd of fighters shoving and pulled a blood-splattered Gadhafi from where he was hiding in a drainage pipe. According to MSNBC and other news reports, Gadhafi struggled and begged for his life before he was shot dead.
The video shows revolutionary fighters propping up the ousted dictator on the hood of a pickup truck to parade him around in victory. Eventually he was dragged off the hood toward an ambulance as one man shouted “We want him alive, we want him alive.”
A translation by British news network Sky News reveals that Gadhafi shouted at the revolutionaries, saying, “What you are doing is not allowed in Islamic law. What you are doing is forbidden in Islam!”
One man pointed a gun at Gadhafi’s head as the former Libyan leader asked, “Do you know right from wrong?”
Gadhafi then appeared to lose consciousness as one of the rebels responded, “Shut up, dog.”
MSNBC reported that other footage shows rebel fighters rolling Gadhafi’s body over the pavement, stripped to the waist with a pool of blood under his head. His body is now being kept in a commercial freezer at a shopping center as interim officials in Libya discuss where and when to bury the former dictator.
United Nations human rights spokesman Rupert Colville called the images “very disturbing,” and said that Gadhafi’s body cannot be buried until his death can be examined by the International Criminal Court.
“It is a fundamental principle of international law that people accused of serious crimes should if possible be tried,” Colville told reporters. “Summary executions are strictly illegal. It is different if someone is killed in combat.”</span>

also murder of a head of state without trial is actually illegal under international law...
how are they any better than the man they say is a murderer when they also murdered him?

just remember- to the innocent people killed by clinton bush & obama military actions they would love to see the same thing happen to them...

strangely I was just watching that exact clip over the weekend. Was watching a docu-movie called Heartland Reggae, then another one with the young trail blazers or Reggae music, man like a bredren called horsemouth, Jack Ruby, Robbie Shakespear, Dennis Brown, Joe Gibbs, Jacob Miller and a few others (cant remember the name now..)

Khadafy's final humiliation: Rebel fighters sodomized despot with combat knife
The rebels who captured Moammar Khadafy visited a final humiliation on the brutal Libyan dictator while dragging him from a drainage pipe to his doom - they tortured him with a knife, disturbing new footage revealed Monday.
Graphic footage released Monday by GlobalPost.com shows a rebel jabbing a helpless Khadafy in the backside with what appears to be a U.S.-made combat knife called a BK&T - and which the Libyans called a "Bicketti."

Khadafy, who used rape to terrorize political opponents, appears bloodied and terrified. And screams in Arabic can be heard amid the vengeful cries of the rebels.
The dictator died off-camera from a bullet to the head.
Reuters reported Khadafy, whose rotting body has been on public display for four days, will be buried Tuesday at an undisclosed location in the desert.
Libya's new leaders, under international pressure, have launched an investigation into who fired the fatal shot.
Interim leader Mustafa Abdul-Jalil suggested Monday that Khadafy was rubbed out by his own supporters to keep him from naming the names of his accomplices.
"Free Libyans wanted to keep Khadafy in prison and humiliate him as long as possible," Abdul-Jalil said. "Those who wanted him killed were those who were loyal to him or had played a role under him. His death was in their benefit."
As horrific as the GlobalPost footage is, it's not the most graphic video of Khadafy's last moments after he was captured Thursday.
There have been conflicting reports about the 69-year-old dictator's final moments, with government officials initially saying they believed he was killed in crossfire as his supporters battled with rebel fighters.
KHADAFY DEAD: INSIDE HIS 42-YEAR REIGN OF TERROR
The interim government formally liberated Libya Sunday, ending Khadafy's 42-year dictatorship and putting the oil-rich nation on a two-year path to democracy.
Moammar Khadafy's life of terrorizing the people of Libya ended with a bullet to the head, an autopsy confirmed Sunday.
It is still unclear, however, under what circumstances Libya's former despot received the fatal head wound on Thurday.
Libya's chief pathologist, Dr. Othman al-Zintani, said only that Khadafy died from a shot to the head, according to The Associated Press. He would not disclose further details or elaborate on the dictator's final moments, saying he would first deliver a full report to the attorney general.
"He died because of a gunshot wound. It is obvious," the doctor said, according to Reuters. "There are still several issues. We have to pass [the report] to the prosecutor general. But everything will be revealed publicly. Nothing will be hidden."
MOAMMAR KHADAFY DEAD: THE 42-YEAR REIGN OF THE LIBYAN DICTATOR
The autopsy, carried out secretly, was taken to a morgue for the procedure, Reuters reported. The body is expected to go back to the commerical freezer in a Misrata shopping mall where it has been on public display.
Video shows Khadafy, who brutally ruled the Middle Eastern country for more than 40 years, was captured alive. Libyan rebels have claimed he was killed by crossfire during a gunfight.
However, a video that surfaced Saturday seemed to show he was shot in the head while in an ambulance.
"When he left the area, he was very much alive," Peter Bouckaert, Human Rights Watch's emergencies director and an expert in humanitarian crises, told CNN. "There's no reason why he should have been subjected to this kind of mob justice."
The United Nations is investigating Khadafy's death. Meanwhile, most Libyans do not appear to be mourning his demise.
"If [Khadafy] was taken to court, this would create more chaos, and would encourage his supporters," Salah Zlitni, 31, who owns a pizza parlor in downtown Tripoli, told The Associated Press. "Now it's over."
Khadafy's death came after eight months of brutal fighting between rebels and government forces.
