Bredrin which pawt you getting dem facts from?
You been to Libya? Mi nuh know which pawt di alleged money was flowing, but definately not to the citizens.
An mi nuh know bout Libyans 'buying' car for 50% off, caw di veekle dem mi see pan di road did buy already inna di 70's an 80's.
Di fact that Muamar's parent still inna tent, show you the state of the housing situation.
Mi did see some 'somewhat nice' apartment blocks in South Tripoli, but from what I was
told they are only given to September-born citizens (the anniversary month of the Revolution).
Your list sounds great on paper, and who knows it may have been the Colonel's intention at
one point, but from my brief but frequent trips to Tripoli in the last 5 years, I couldn't see the
oil money going to good use anywhere at all. Not even Ghaddafi's compound. Most African
leaders build a toppanaris presidential palace, and the Colonels quarters look like
Spanish Town GP.
