how would you handle this?

last night I"m at work delivering a load of gas to a Petro Canada.

I go inside and go to the back room where the control panel is where they keep the computerized inventory in the station.

as im standing there at the computer control panel mounted on the wall, i realize im standing on a silk rug.

the station is run by a dude named Mahmoud -he actually owns 11 stations.
now they want the drivers to remove there shoes before entering

I AM NOT unlacing MY work boots as this is (a) inconveniant (b) creates a WSIB issue. and (c) violates my charter of rights.

I see it like this - if they want to pray --go to the mosque.

If it was owned by blonde gentleman named Tom and he had a beautiful white plush carpet back there with a sign posted to remove your shoes would it be an issue?

and if he wants his GAS DELIVERED he needs to give us access to the room to take the inventory...cuz if I dont know whats in the ground for storage--I cant safely put the gas in the ground.

How big is this silk rug that is in the way

If it is a prayer rug isnt that somewhat small &amp; can be rolled up when not in use?

I was thinking it was a 5x 8 kinda rug

maybe he should roll up the rug when he knows hes getting a load delivered cuz he orders it.

But realize Suncor Energy has a strict policy on its drivers wearing there PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) ie fire reardent clothing, reflective/Hi-Vis wear, hardhat, nitrile gloves , safety glasses, AND WORK BOOTS/safety foot wear. and there to be worn AT ALL TIMES on Suncor Energy property.

so what im saying is--there going to make an exception to the rule, yet I got written up three weeeks ago for forgetting to wear my hardhat walking from my truck into a station. and it cost me money off my safety incentive

OK, that makes sense. Then I would contact Suncor health and safety and report the situation.

CUZ I AM NOT UNLACING MY WORKBOOTS all the while adhering to company policy which states safety gear must be worn at all times on SUNCOR property.
and i AM NOT EFFIN bending the rules

and if they make an exception to the rule,,then they better make an exception to wearing my hardhat on 90 degree days or an exception to the fire retardent coveralls which you cook in on warm days
