Caribbean Airlines resumes Kgn-Miami flights

Starting 09DEC11 Boeing 737-800 aircraft to operate Kingston – Miami service 4 times a week. This will increase to Daily starting 01FEB12.

Reservation for this route is now open. Schedules:

BW021 KIN0945 – 1125MIA 738 x147
BW024 MIA1310 – 1450KIN 738 x147

From 09JAN12 to 30JAN12, service operates Day x247

I'm sorry to say, but after my last experience with CAL in August (on a full fare ticket mind you, not staff travel like always), I will try to arrive out of NY on jetBlue and leave out to MIA on AA.

The thing I most hate about AA is the checkin process at MIA. But they are fine out of Manley and the counter ppl in KIN are nice.

jetBlue is a breeze out of JFK so that's the new runnings now.

You are probably referring to REDjet

They applied to be based in Kingston, however Mr. Golding's government, during the time they were divesting AirJ, blocked their application based on grounds that REDjet would be a competitor to AirJ, and thus make the divestment of the national carrier more difficult.

As a result, REDjet founders told JA to go dead a bush, and started up operations in Barbados who welcomed the low cost carrier with open arms.

However all was not sweet and dandy since the government of Trinidad and Tobago blocked them from flying there, because they were perceived as competition to Caribbean Air Lines. (Caribbean governments do not like competition as ytou can see).

After a long battle they are up and running, although I'm sure they must have lost a lot of money with their fleet sitting on the ground with no lace to fly for months on end.

I wish I moved around like you, because I would surely take jetblue out of JFK. Sometimes I even think of driving to Orlando to ketch them.

Yes, the check-in in MIA is so third world. I don't understand why they can't come up with a better logistical plan to check people in. And size is no excuse, because when you check in with them in Dallas it is not the same experience.

Yes man MIA pop-dung.

But after mi last experience at FLL, mi nuh to sure mi like it again.
Bare bodderation bout hand luggage from TSA, then molested by TSA,
and on the way back 2 hours wait in immigration, then an hour wait for
luggage to come due to a bag belt problem.

Miami is too much pasa pasa. Give me FLL anytime. CAL has new competition...JetBlue to fly from Fort Lauderdale to Kingston in May 2012.
