Mr Witchy is determined to ruin his surprise...

Mr Witchy's 66th birthday is tomorrow. And he's determined to ruin his birthday surprise, darn it!

I told him since it's Laundry Day (Monday), supper is macaroni and meatballs and my Sunday gravy. Because tomorrow I have reservations to take him out for supper at one of his favorite restaurants. He wants to know why we don't just go out to Tops Diner tonight.

If we go out tonight, he won't want to go out tomorrow night. He hates going out two nights in a row. Sometimes he makes the term "cheap Jew" a reality!

I wanted to surprise him tomorrow.

Honestly! You'd think he'd know better than to push things tonight... tomorrow being his birthday.

You can't even insult Jews by calling them 'cheap'; Jews don't get fussed by that any more. Cheap Jews are <span style="text-decoration: underline">proud</span> of being so damn cheap, and Jews who aren't cheap know they aren't and don't worry about what others think.

Aw, come on, now! It was laundry day! I was busy doing laundry all day long! I was too tired after that to cook. Laundry day is hard labor! All that running up and down two flights of stairs with heavy loads of laundry... my broken spine can't handle it! I'm handicapped, remember. Mondays are <span style="font-style: italic">THE HARDEST</span> days of the week! Cut me a break!

I finally told Mr Witchy that he needed to tell me where he wanted to eat his birthday supper. He chose a restaurant we haven't been to but have been meaning to go to: <span style="font-weight: bold">Stamna Greek Taverna</span>. We're going to Peloponnese - southern Greece - tonight!
