Also the Russian alphabet is based on the Greek alphabet.

that being said, I still believe that it was the greek protest being passed as a russian protest.

A French channel was just caught doing something similar: they used cc TV images of crimes committed in the US to depict crimes taking place in France! They apologized, but blamed the production company.

The fake interview was in 1991; PPDA (as he's known over here) wasn't fired until 2008 when the audience for his broadcast started declining.
