There are different levels of desperation a country can descend to. Just as high as Jamaica can go from here, it can still go down lower to the levels of Pakistan, Haiti, Somalia etc.

While I don't think neither party will make things significantly better, the question is which administration won't make thinks significantly worse.

Is joke yuh a joke but is seerus business dis enuh!

Both parties address corruption reactively and not proactively.

Both sides have sketchy job creation schemes hinged on external factors over which they have no control.

Both leaders did not propose CAREER creation plans, only gully sweeping menial jobs.

It really boils down to voting for the lesser evil.

Well I watched the entire debate.

No knockout punches! Except for a couple of instances where Portia improvised, both leaders were talking from script they had either had written down or memorized.

Little in the way of anything new brought to the table in terms of why you should vote one way or the other.

Winner by a hair (and I do mean a very thin hair) Ms. Simpson Miller.

the illusion of elections is their best way of keeping the population under control right now...

You really think so?
I think she stumbled through the whole thing. Very poor time management on her responses and having to be interrupted without answering the question.
At least memorise the two minute opening statement for crying out loud.

Holness get cut off nuff times too, but at least managed to answer the questions asked. And his referring to notes wasn't as laboured as Portia's.

it's like he turned into an old man the day he took the oath for PM

i didn't feel a bit of energy or hope emitting from

and i think the moderator went overboard with that time clock - at least let the sentence finish

The moderator was very robotic and did nothing to enhance the debate.
Dem need to replace him next time.

In all fairness, the candidates should have a countdown clock visible to them so they can time their responses.

However very poor time management on the opening statements, especially Portia. You know you have 2 min, time your speech at home before you come on ppl TV.
And she can't memorise a 2 min speech fi gi? She stumbling for words at every turn of the page. At least Andrew referenced his notes every other sentence and it did not appear as laboured.
